From the construction site to snowy mountain peaks: a phone that works everywhere
Can a phone be both smart and resistant to everyday wear and tear? The growing interest in Hammer phones, which were previously considered a niche choice for builders or extreme leisure enthusiasts, helps answer this question. Today, Hammer offers a wide range of phones and is becoming increasingly relevant to a broad audience, from travelers to parents looking for a durable device for their children, or simply consumers who want a reliable phone.
Kristina Draudvilaitė, product manager at ACC Distribution, the company representing this brand in the Baltic countries, says she sees a clear increase in interest in Hammer phones. “We have noticed that people are increasingly choosing phones that last longer, withstand drops, and do not require special care. As a result, Hammer is becoming increasingly popular not only among professionals working in difficult conditions, but also among those who are simply looking for a reliable phone for everyday use,” says K. Draudvilaitė.
To the Baltic States – with a purposeful mission
At the beginning of this year, Hammer phones took a new decisive step into the Baltic market when they were represented by one of the largest technology suppliers in the region, ACC Distribution.
Each phone model has unique features – from night vision or thermal cameras, powerful batteries, infrared transmitters to extremely high resistance to external influences and modern screens. This allows users to choose the phone that best suits their lifestyle and work needs.
According to K. Draudvilaitė, this is not a mass-market product, but one aimed at a specific audience – people who care not only about design but also about additional features that are only available on certain phones, depending on the model.
“Working consistently, we feel a clear market impulse – people need a phone that won’t break on the first fall, is not affected by rain, and can be used everywhere – from industrial sites to mountain hikes. We are pleased to offer a wide range of devices from this manufacturer to meet a variety of needs.”
Hammer’s goal is to raise consumer awareness by encouraging them to focus on durability, sustainability, and real needs rather than short-lived technological fads. This is very much in line with global trends, where consumers no longer want devices that need to be replaced every year, but are choosing longer-lasting and less environmentally harmful solutions.
Resilience in all situations in life
The most important feature of Hammer phones is their physical durability and related characteristics. All models comply with IP68 or IP69 protection standards, which means that the devices are completely dustproof and can be submerged in water to a depth of up to 1.5 meters. The IP69 certification also allows the phone to be used even when washed with high-pressure hot water, such as a pressure washer.
“All Hammer phones are certified according to MIL-STD-810H, a set of US military tests covering resistance to drops, vibration, moisture, and temperature fluctuations, all of which are real-life situations,” notes the specialist.
This fall, Hammer introduced two new models – the Ranger and Iron 6 – which K. Draudvilaitė reviews in more detail. According to her, both devices are robust but geared toward different user needs.
Hammer Ranger is a true outdoor “workhorse” with a slightly rougher, thicker appearance, but it stands out from modern phones with a unique feature – a replaceable battery. This solution has long been a rarity in the smartphone market, but it is precisely this feature that is important for ensuring long-term use of the phone.
Most manufacturers integrate batteries, but this means that as soon as the battery wears out, the entire device becomes less efficient or even unusable. A replaceable battery not only extends the life of the phone, but also increases mobility – after all, when traveling in remote areas or working outdoors for long periods of time, it is not possible to recharge it frequently, so one battery can simply be replaced with another,” says K. Draudvilaitė.
Another model, the Hammer Iron 6, features a night vision camera that allows you to take photos and videos in complete darkness without additional lighting. It is a true infrared camera designed for use in extreme conditions – at night, underground, in the forest, or in industrial environments. There are two Hammer Iron 6 models to choose from – with 4G or 5G connectivity.
K. Draudvilaitė sums up the features of Hammer phones as follows: “It’s like an SUV among phones. It may not be flashy, but it has what matters most—reliability and other advantages. And that’s why more and more people are choosing it.”
